The plan was a 3 day hike in the high country (Crinoline - Mt Tamboritha Circuit near Licola). Arriving at the start of the walk after 4 hours of driving, I discovered that my boots had been left behind. I had only flimsy sandals, which were no match for this rugged part of the Victorian alps. So instead we had a nice arvo and night camped by the Macalister River, and some nice stops in Gippsland on the way home the next day. A highlight was a nice stroll in mountain ash and tree fern forest is Mt Worth State Forest.
